I just turned the page in my planner and was shocked to see Christmas next week! Where did the month go? It's been an amazing month and year....we're getting excited to launch a new website. In the meantime, happy holidays and here's a few photos of some recent holiday decor.

Martine and Jeremy's July wedding on National Harbor's west pier was simply stunning. I had a hard time narrowing down my favorite images to post. Despite the crazy weather--it rained, it was sunny, it was cloudy and it was muggy--it was FUN!! What I loved most was how classically summer the feel was: the fireworks, the lobsters, the blueberry drinks, the seersucker, the sparklers and the red, white and blue. Ritzy Bee Events helped with all the fun details.
Martine and Jeremy had a great time and their happiness rubbed off on everyone else. Thanks to Martine and Jeremy for allowing me to capture their special day!!

As a photographer, I find that her flowers never distract the eye away from the person--instead truly enhance the beauty of the bride and the venue. Though our four weddings were so very different--from a National Harbor nautical themed wedding to a rustic, autumn Woodend wedding--her simple palette and use of green friendly material were all unique in design and look to those couples and their visions.

I recently attended Bryan Johnson's amazing A Bryan Photo Workshop (which I highly recommend to all you wedding photographers out there!!); here's a few photos I took during shoot time. What I loved most about photoshoot was trying out Bryan's different film cameras, as seen above. I learned so much visiting his studio and met lots of cool people. Check out the workshop photobooth on the last night. So fun! And a big thanks to Kodak for the film!!
Katie and Mike's wedding was absolutely gorgeous, warm and fun. The wedding took place at the Mayhurst Inn, in Orange, Virginia about two hours west of Washington, DC.

Enjoyed a day walking in NYC with friends Maria and Kelly, with a little holga in my bag.
This wedding was full of warmth, fun...and lots of details, the Irish dancing and Design Cuisine's amazing desserts. Thanks to Ann and Andre for allowing me to capture their special day. Ann and Andre met while traveling the world and that theme tied together the party and decor. Their guest came from all over, including Ireland where the groom is from. Each table was named after a city they traveled to together.

The Athenaeum is the home of the Northern Virginia Fine Arts Association--it's a gallery and a fantastic social space for events and weddings located in Alexandria, Virginia.
